We are available to perform and teach circus arts in the Boston area, as well as nationally and internationally. Several DFC performers, including our co-founders, were featured Summer 2016 with Granite State Circus, the first woman founded and run tented circus. We are now back to booking our popular professional performers’ acts & shows, offering visiting artist workshops and consultations, and supporting our youth performance troupe. Diamond Family Circus is approved for fee support through the MassHousing TAP Resident Programs & New England States Touring (NEST) artist grants, increasing accessibility to high quality programming for public housing & non-profit organizations.

She works with each individual’s strengths, goals, and needs, nurturing a safe learning environment for serious fun, discovery, and progress.
Marci’s teacher training includes completion of the Advanced Trapeze Teacher Training at the New England Center for Circus Arts, Circus Arts Therapy Training at Carrie Heller’s Circus Arts Institute, Circus Yoga- Ring One, and prior certification as a high school teacher. She is an active participant in the American Youth Circus Organization, including the AYCO Educators’ Conferences and national and regional festivals.
Did you know we also provide movement consultation and choreography for theater companies, and other arts programs? For example, Marci is currently the Movement Director for Moonbox Production’s “Lost at Sea” rep production of Twelfth Night and Shipwrecked! at the Boston Center for the Arts (tickets and info: http://www.moonboxproductions.org/), and Marisa served as choreographer for the circus-themed “Queens and Clowns” production in Michigan. Please contact us to discuss services and rates.
Marci and Marisa are pleased to now offer classes, workshops, and private lessons at Gravity Alternative Movement, a new, growing circus school in the Metrowest/Boston area – founded by DFC alum Trevor Kafka! – that provides a welcoming, supportive learning community for all ages and abilities. You can learn more and sign up for classes and workshops here: https://www.gravityalternativemovement.com/

Now, we can also offer expanded access to our programs to a wide range of non-profit organizations throughout New England, as an approved NEST program! Fee support for Diamond Family Circus may be available to nonprofit organizations through the New England States Touring (NEST) program of the New England Foundation for the Arts. Please visit www.nefa.org for more information and contact us directly to discuss…and we hope to see you down the road!
Circus is alive and well in the U.S., and one sign is that more DFC alums than ever have been performing circus arts in the ring and on stage in the past year (e.g., CirqueUs, Pippin national tour, Circus Harmony, Circus Smirkus, among others), and another is that circus arts are being featured more and more in major motion picture productions and commercials. In case you missed it, here is the hilariously generous Kate McKinnon trying to share her pizza with a contorting Marci Diamond : https://www.ispot.tv/ad/A7yr/mastercard-masterpass-yoga
DFC co-founder Marci Diamond and colleague Clara LaFrance have initiated “Chispa”, a monthly boundary-crossing, welcoming creative space, designed to spark, support and share new artistic works (or old favorites), by a wide variety of performers, for an all-ages audience.
Marci and J.T. even reprised their original “Music Box” act – which they created for Granite State Circus a number of years ago – for the very first Chispa show in Somerville, MA on 1/13/18, video here: https://youtu.be/IEW42hc8gHE!
Please see the Chispa website https://chispashow.com/ to submit an act for a future show, get tickets and venue information, or learn more.
